Fresh Start Food Network is a community-based food recovery and distribution organization working to end food insecurity and reduce food waste in Greater Boston. The organization recovers nutritious surplus food and distributes it to underserved communities.

Fresh Start addresses two urgent and interconnected challenges: the large-scale waste of healthy food, and persistent food insecurity among Boston-area households. By building infrastructure that links surplus supply to community demand, Fresh Start transforms excess food into a reliable, equitable resource.
